Four student builders talk about learning from mistakes, motivating a team, and more. They also invite the community to their annual Pancake Supper fundraiser, Flippin' Out! They are identifying practical ways we can have more homes in Ann Arbor that middle-income people can afford. The group is identifying developable sites and building neighborhoods and homes to increase the housing supply. Their vision includes more walkable communities that minimize traffic and sprawl, allowing people that work in Ann Arbor to be able to afford a home in Ann Arbor. Their plans consider environmental impacts, and emphasize quality design and construction. We are already seeing the City loosen restrictions of Accessible Dwelling Units (ADUs) to increase density, and offer homeowner's flexibilty on their property.
