A recent article from MLive addresses ways the state of Michigan is trying to steer young people into the building trades with apprenticeships and training as viable career options which are in high demand:
“Career paths in Michigan should more frequently involve skilled trades apprentice training, according to a recent report that details the benefits of the programs.
That form of formalized on-the-job training for specific jobs – like electrician, plumber, carpenter and steelworker – comes at a low-cost for the participant, and fuels the state’s economic drivers that use construction trades.

LOCAL ACTION: BRAG Ann Arbor Foundation Awards Annual Building Industry Scholarships
The BRAG Ann Arbor Foundation awarded our Annual BRAG Ann Arbor Foundation Scholarships to four promising young people who are pursuing futures in construction. Photos were taken at our General Membership Meeting in the BRAG Ann Arbor Event Center on May 3, 2017.
These young men are already impressively skilled and poised for success. Congratulations guys!
