This custom home renovation in Dexter is on the premier lot that backs up to a nature preserve in the highly sought after Brass Creek neighborhood.

Nearly every space of the home has been transformed to incorporate our client’s passions of cooking, entertaining loved ones, and unwinding after long work days. Expanding the main floor and opening walls created a large space where everyone can gather in the new chef’s kitchen, serving as the hub of the home. We enlarged the previous eating nook into a fully window-lined dining space with a custom barnwood-filled tray ceiling, creating the ambiance of dining immersed in nature.

The mudroom was also enlarged to house a walk-in pantry, dry bar, laundry room, and powder room, allowing for easy meal prep and organized everyday function. The custom-built primary bathroom features large passthrough windows in the shower and tub space, allowing our client’s to again feel fully immersed in nature as they begin and unwind each day. The highlights of the space also include new flooring, a floor-to-ceiling custom stone fireplace, and a vintage barn beam mantle to make for a cozy gathering space in the colder months. A library, complete with custom built-ins to house collected art and curated finds, rounds out the main level.

A custom metal staircase leads to the lower level, featuring a wet bar and built in entertainment space for games and family fun along with a new full bath for overnight guests.
